A Mother's Journey: Destiny Fulfilled
This is our Mother's Day episode. Our special guest Sivanaise Anthony joins us to share her journey to motherhood. She was diagnosed at an early age with PCOS and told she would not be able to have children, or she would have to go through a fertility specialist. PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) is a condition in which a woman has increased levels of male hormones (androgens). Many problems occur as a result of this increase of hormones, including:
- Menstrual irregularities
- Infertility
- Skin problems such as acne and increased hair growth
- Increased number of small cysts in the ovaries
